Preparing for Inspections
Care Quality Commission (CQC)
ClearTrace has years of experience working with businesses providing services and guidance at CQC standards. The CQC inspectors will rate your facility on the following scale:
Outstanding – The service is performing exceptionally well.
Good – The service is performing well and meeting CQC expectations.
Requires Improvement – The service is not performing as well as it should and has been advised on how to improve.
Inadequate – The service is performing poorly, and actions have been taken against those in charge.
They will base their rating of a care facility on five key factors:
- Safety of patients/residents
- Effectiveness of the care, treatment, and support for good outcomes. Properly maintaining quality of life based on the best available evidence.
- Caring staff treating patients/residents with compassion, kindness, dignity, and respect.
- Responsive to the needs of those being cared for.
- Well-led by team leads, management, and governance of the organisation. Providing high-quality care based on individual needs, encouraging learning and innovation, and promoting an open and fair business environment.
We are here to help assess your care facility and processes and provide your business with the correct guidance according to the latest CQC standards so that you can feel confident in your inspection. To help assist your facility in reaching the highest score possible, ClearTrace can equip your crews with Chemical Ranges, IPC Training, Software Systems, and IPC Cleaning.
Environmental Health Officer (EHO)
At ClearTrace we understand that maintaining food safety by following food hygiene legislation is of the utmost importance. Our consultancy services can prepare you and your staff for when local authority enforcement officers inevitably need to conduct food hygiene inspections at your premises.
The enforcement officer will grade the different categories of your business based on the Food Law Code of Practice and Food Law Practice Guidance, ensuring your business is meeting legal feed hygiene and safety standards and that the food is safe for customer consumption. They will then calculate your score on a scale of 1 to 5 based on three requirement criteria:
- Food Hygiene and Safety Procedures – How hygienically food is stored, prepared and served.
- Structural Requirements – The hygiene of the premises, e.g., cleanliness, layout, lighting, and ventilation.
- Confidence in Management – Can the policies and systems in place ensure consistent food safety?
We are here to help assess your food premises and processes and provide your business with the correct guidance according to the latest EHO standards so that you can feel confident in your inspection. To help assist your business in reaching the highest score possible, ClearTrace can equip your crews with Chemical Ranges, IPC Training, Software Systems and IPC Cleaning.
